Shakespeare Workshop for Actors Grades 7 – 12

On Monday evenings January 22 – March 26 (excluding Feb. 5 and 16) from 7-9 pm accomplished actress and educator Julia Levo will create an exciting and positive environment in which actors will delve into a comprehensive exploration of scenes and monologues from one of Shakespeare’s greatest tragedies, Macbeth. Students will explore this play in an intensive eight-week acting program designed exclusively for middle and high school students.

Students will develop skills in character development, vocal technique, acting craft, and text analysis. Key scenes and monologues (using non-traditional casting) will be woven together and performed for an invited audience during the last class.

This eight-week program is $250 per New Pond Farm Member and $275 per Non-member

Pastel Workshop for Kids

On Thursday, June 8 from 4:15-5:30 pm children will create colorful landscapes inspired by New Pond Farm using oil pastels with artist and teacher, Becky Holden. All materials are included.

Afternoon Tea and Painting Demonstration

Please join us on Wednesday, June 7 from 2 – 4 pm for a delightful afternoon at New Pond Farm enjoying tea and freshly baked confections while renowned artist, Adele Moros, paints a still life of beautiful flowers from our garden.

Felting for Adults

Come learn the fascinating craft of needle felting with NPF teacher, Sheila Dick. Work with carded fleece and make an array of charming projects! All materials are provided.

Students will develop skills in character development, vocal technique, acting craft, and text analysis. Key scenes and monologues (using non-traditional casting) will be woven together and performed for an invited audience during the last class.

This eight-week program for Middle and High School Actors costs $250 for New Pond Farm members and $275 for non-members.

Introduction to Fly Tying
 for Middle and High School Students

On Saturday, March 12, from 10 – 11am
, fly fisherman and veteran instructor, Tim Laughlin, will introduce you to the art of fly tying at New Pond Farm (101 Marchant Road, Redding). Create your own woolly bugger. Equipment and materials will be provided. Space is limited.
