An Inspirational Pilot Program Designed for Homeschoolers
New Pond Farm Education Center is pleased to announce an exciting program, specifically designed for Homeschoolers.
Admired sculptor and artist, Justin Perlman, in collaboration with well known puppeteer and dancer, Adelka Polak, will be offering a six-week program at the environmental center in West Redding. This exciting team of educators will bring visual and performing arts together in a meaningful way.
Young artists will sharpen their communication skills through storytelling and art using a hands-on approach and utilizing creative processes inspired by the land. They will learn some of the many ways in which people express ideas and the tools by which they do this. Appreciation of the resources is a significant part of this program.
There will time spent out-of-doors gathering materials and in nature play, as well as time in the studio developing storytelling tools, which may include puppets, masks, and movement.
Dates and Times: Tuesdays, 12:30 – 2:30, April 4 – May 9
This program is $215 per New Pond Farm Member and $240 per Non-member
Registration is required, please visit us online or call (203) 938-2117 to register.
The Arts play a nurturing role in our lives and thanks to our founder, Carmen Mathews, they have always been an important part of New Pond Farm. This year we are delighted to offer a three-session series of workshops that will introduce children ages 7-9 to ballet, opera, and Shakespeare. We have found a wonderful guest teacher, Diane Fuller, who has done a similar program in New York for years. For more information, please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
