Knitting & Spinning by the Fire

On Sunday February 4 from 12 – 3 p.m. bring your knitting projects and enjoy a relaxing afternoon by the fire with seasoned knitters and members of the Nutmeg Spinners to coach you on your knitting challenges and invite you to try your hand at their spinning wheels.

Recommended for any skill level.

    This adult program is free, but ask that you purchase a skein of New Pond Farm yarn ($12) and donate a scarf, hat, or pair of mittens to the Farm for sale at the Harvest Festival.

Knitting Children’s Farm Hats

Would you like to make a pumpkin hat, or a hat with grazing sheep? Join veteran knitter Mary Pat Cieri and create a unique “farm” hat that will delight a special child in your life. Pattern choices will be provided at registration. We ask that you bring the necessary materials with you and Mary Pat will provide the how-tos!

     This 2-part program (Tuesdays May 23 & May 30, 7 – 9 p.m.) is $20 per New Pond Farm member and $25 per non-member.

Knitting Tea Cozies by the Fire for Adults

Choose from a wooly sheep, a bee skep, or a honeybee as you learn to knit a charming tea cozy for your favorite teapot. Experienced knitter Mary Pat Cieri will guide you through the steps in this two-part class (Tuesdays, March 8 and March 22, 7–9 pm). Participants should know how to knit and purl. Needle sizes will be given at registration and a skein of New Pond Farm wool will be provided.

$30 per New Pond Farm member, $35 per non-member
