Complaint reports that a check he mailed to the IRS was intercepted from the mail and altered. Incident remains under investigation.

1am- Police responed to an emotionally disturbed youth that wanted to harm herself. The youth was transported to Danbury Hospital for a psychological evaluation.

Vehicle struck a deer while trav S/B on Black Rock Tpke. Property damage reported. Animal GOA.

Black Rock Turnpike (Route 58)
1 Car Accident – Vehicle was traveling S/B on Black Rock Tpke when operator lost control of vehicle while negotiating a curve. The vehicle slid sideways in the roadway, striking a guardrail and an embankment. Minor injuries reported.

2 Car Accident – A vehicle traveling N/B on Rte 7 crossed the centerline and sideswiped a S/B vehicle. No injuries reported.

1 Car Accident – A vehicle traveling E/B on Poverty Hollow Rd. swerved to avoid an animal in the roadway and went off the shoulder of the road and struck a large rock causing moderate damage to the under carriage of the vehicle. No injuries reported.

Redding Road (Route 53)
2 Car Accident – A vehicle tuning S/B onto Rte 53 from Rte 107 took the turn too wide and struck an oncoming vehicle approaching the intersection. Minor contact damage reported to both vehicles. No injuries reported.

2 car accident – vehicles passing in opposite directions struck mirrors. No injuries reported.

7/28/2019 MVA – Injury
2 Car Accident – A vehicle traveling N/B on Ethan Allen Highway and attempting to enter a commercial business located at 197 Ethan Allen Highway turned into the path of a S/B vehicle . Both vehicles sustained heavy contact damage and were towed from the scene. All vehicle occupants were transported to Danbury Hospital for evaluations of various injuries.

Police responded to the report of a 53 year old female found deceased in her residence by a tenant. The State’s Medical Examiner’s Offices is assisting with the investigation. The death is believed to be of natural causes.
