At approximately 12:15hrs on Saturday, February 16th Easton Police dispatch received a call of a two car head on collision at Rt. 59 and Church Road. Upon arrival, Easton Officers located three injured people. One vehicle had two occupants, a female operator and a youth who was on the ground outside the vehicle. Two passerby’s were assisting the youth who had gotten out of the vehicle on his own. The female in the other vehicle sustained serious injuries and needed to be extricated from the vehicle. All three were transported to local hospitals. Easton Fire, Easton EMS and AMR Bridgeport paramedics were on scene. Fairfield police accident reconstruction team was also on scene assisting with the accident investigation.

The road was closed for several hours.

Update: The Easton Police Department and the Fairfield Police
Department’s Reconstruction Team continue to investigate the crash. The
driver and passenger of one of the vehicles, where treated and released
Saturday. The driver of the other vehicle is stable but remains in critical
condition.
