Kathy Figgis, retirement specialist at American Senior Benefits, will conduct a Medicare Seminar at Easton Public Library on Tuesday, March 5th at 7:00 p.m. She will discuss enrollment, rights, options and entitlements, as well as the small gaps/large gaps in the health care system. The discussion will also include options to handle out-of-pocket expenses as Medicare does not cover all health expenses. Refreshments will be served. Registration is suggested. Come to the Easton Public Library on Saturday March 16, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and play 18 holes of miniature golf inside the Library! This “Links for Literature” Mini Golf and Silent Auction event is a fundraiser to benefit the Friends of the Easton Public Library. The tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids, and $15 for families, and include refreshments. Tickets can be purchased at the door on the day of the event.
The Silent Auction features an array of items including gift certificates from local restaurants and other businesses, a Greiser’s gift basket, a family pass to the Beardsley Zoo, a membership and two free tickets for the Quick Center for the Arts, a golf lesson from The Connecticut Golf Club, and more. Proceeds will go towards the Children’s Expansion Project.

At approximately 12:15hrs on Saturday, February 16th Easton Police dispatch received a call of a two car head on collision at Rt. 59 and Church Road. Upon arrival, Easton Officers located three injured people. One vehicle had two occupants, a female operator and a youth who was on the ground outside the vehicle. Two passerby’s were assisting the youth who had gotten out of the vehicle on his own. The female in the other vehicle sustained serious injuries and needed to be extricated from the vehicle. All three were transported to local hospitals. Easton Fire, Easton EMS and AMR Bridgeport paramedics were on scene. Fairfield police accident reconstruction team was also on scene assisting with the accident investigation.
The road was closed for several hours.
