Cheerleaders cheer up garden

Recently, cheerleaders from Redding-Easton Falcons Cheer spent time sprucing up the courtyard garden at John Read Middle School in Redding in preparation for the upcoming school year.  Cheerleaders and parents, pulled weeds, removed dead foliage, and picked up litter.

This event is FREE and all ages are welcome.

In addition to the movie,

  • Redding Girls Scouts will be selling foods, beverages, dessert and popcorn.
  • Mark Kilburn running a family kickball game
  • The playground will be open before the movie
  • We will have face painting
  • Gigi’s Ice cream Truck will be there
  • A magician will perform just before the movie.

Bring your Extended Family, a lawn chair or blanket to the RES Kindergarten Bowl Area.

League of Women Voters Civil Discourse

Redding League of Women Voter’s general membership meeting on “Civil Discourse”  will be held on Thursday, September 20 at 5 PM at Highstead Arboretum.  All are invited to join us in a discussion on how to promote Civil Discourse.  Nonmembers are welcome to attend. Bring a friend and meet our members!  Wine and cheese reception to follow.
