Easton Public Library Teen Lotus Flower Lantern Workshop

Members of the Korean Spirit & Culture Promotion Program will be at the Easton Public Library on Friday, May 11th, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. to teach teens how to make beautiful lotus flower lanterns. The teens will be given step-by step instructions on how to create the lanterns and will learn about the Korean culture. Traditional Korean refreshments will be served, and a short documentary on the Korean artistic tradition will be shown.

“We are really looking forward to this program,” says Elizabeth Portillo, Youth Services Librarian. “The teens were so eager to make lotus flower lanternsagain, and I am glad we could make it happen.”

The Korean Spirit & Culture Promotion Project, a non-profit organization, was founded in 2005 to raise awareness of Korean history and culture. Its headquarters are in Seoul, Korea, with branches in New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and Los Angeles, as well as in Germany and the United Kingdom.
