Hello Bethel!: High School Sports

The weather may be slow to cooperate, but BHS spring sports are underway! Here’s an up-to-date wrap-up of team records, plus a preview of upcoming games. Next games are Norwalk at home (4/8), Bunnell away (4/9), and Shepaug Valley (4/12) and Notre Dame-Fairfield (4/13) at home.

Baseball: It was a 1-run loss to Norwalk for the boys in their first game. Next up: Newtown at home (4/9), Wolcott Tech away (4/10), New Milford at home (4/11), Abbot Tech at home (4/12), and New Fairfield away (4/13).

Girls Lacrosse: Three games in and the team  topped Bunnell but lost to Weston and New Fairfield, putting them 1-2. Next matchups: away game v. Newtown on 4/11. home v. Stratford (4/12), and away v. Brookfield (4/14).

Boys Lacrosse: The boys are 1-1 so far, beating Bunnell but falling short to Weston. They play Newtown at home on 4/9 and Stratford (4/12) and Westhill (4/14) away.

Girls Tennis: The girls started their season with a win against Bunnell, putting them 1-0. This week they’re facing New Milford (4/10) and Masuk (4/11) away and Brookfield (4/12) and Bunnell (4/13) at home.

Boys Tennis:  It’s 0-1 for the boys, with Brookfield topping them in their opener. Three matchups in a row this week: New Milford at home (4/9) and Brookfield (4/12) and Abbot Tech (4/13) away.

Girls Track: It was a Maroon v. White scrimmage to start the season for boys and girls track. Next meet on 4/10 v. Brookfield, Immaculate, and New Milford, in Brookfield.

Golf: The boys kick off their season on Monday away against Newtown. After that, they host Pomperaug (4/10)  and New Fairfield (4/12).
